According to Seehofer's statement to the daily newspaper Bild, the danger posed by various viral variants requires us to review and discuss strict government measures, including reducing air traffic to Germany to almost zero. Long queues have accumulated at the German-Czech border after German authorities required travelers arriving from countries where new variants have been detected to present a recent negative test upon arrival.
