Under the title "New Drone Takes to the Skies.. Video Showcasing Its Impressive Capabilities," Sky News published an article featuring a video where the Chinese company "DJI" unveiled a new drone that excels in high-definition imaging. According to tech site "The Verge," the new aircraft actually consists of two models: the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine. It added that both drones share notable common features.
The Mavic 3 Cine is priced at $5,000 and is distinguished by its ability to record at 50 frames per second and utilizes Apple ProRes technology, enabling high-definition video recording with low compression. This version of the drone is equipped with a solid-state drive (SSD) for data storage, which is advantageous as it consumes less power, allowing users to benefit from a longer battery life.
The second version of the new drone costs $2,199 and has fewer features, lacking Apple ProRes technology. However, it includes a dual-camera system equipped with a sensor. Both drones are capable of recording video at resolutions up to 4k and capturing still images at a resolution of 20 megapixels.
The cameras of both drones feature a 24mm lens and have a zoom capability of up to 24 times. They can fly for 46 minutes, representing a significant improvement over previous models, as the Mavic 2 had a flight time of only 31 minutes. The sensors on these drones can now detect objects from a distance of 200 meters, compared to just 20 meters in earlier versions. Both drones also have the ability to stream directly to your smartphone or controller.
