A young Egyptian man from Sohag governorate and his fiancée drowned in the Nile River while taking a stroll with their families. The Al-Ahram newspaper reported that the police received a notification about two individuals drowning in the Nile's waters, indicating that rescue teams are still intensifying efforts to recover the victims. Investigations revealed that the 17-year-old man attempted to save his 16-year-old fiancée when she slipped at the edge of the upper bridge in Tama. The young man failed in his attempt, which led to both of them falling and drowning in the depths of the Nile.
