Assad Assigns Prime Minister Hussein Arnous to Form New Government in Syria

Syrian President Bashar Assad issued a decree on Sunday appointing Prime Minister Hussein Arnous to form the new government. Assad had appointed Arnous as prime minister last August, succeeding Imad Khamis, at a time when Syria is facing a major economic crisis and a decline in the value of the lira.
