Tunisia Advances Past Oman to Semifinals

The Tunisian national team became the first to qualify for the semifinals of the Arab Cup after defeating their Omani counterpart (2-1) today, Friday, in the quarterfinals of the tournament held in Qatar. The Tunisian team took the lead with a goal scored by Saifeddine Jeridi in the 16th minute. Oman equalized through Arshad Al Alawi in the 66th minute, before the Eagles of Carthage quickly added a second goal in the 69th minute by Youssef Msakni.
