The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the threat of COVID-19 remains despite a decrease in infection numbers, while anticipating a new pandemic wave in the country. The Ministry reported on Monday that 826 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, with 1,367 people recovering. A statement from the ministry indicated that "the new deaths attributed to COVID-19 reached 14 across all provinces of Iraq." Additionally, it disclosed that "the number of people vaccinated in the past 24 hours was 109,796," according to the Iraqi News Agency.
