Iraqi leader of the "Sadrist Movement," Muqtada al-Sadr, pointed out that the electoral commission in his country is facing "political and security pressures" just days before the final election results are announced. In a statement published on his Twitter account, Sadr affirmed the "integrity of the work of the Independent Electoral Commission and the accuracy of its professionalism in all aspects of its work." He expressed his rejection of any interference in the commission's work, emphasizing the need to ensure the safety of its members and affiliates. Sadr stated, "We condemn and denounce all political and security pressures faced by the commission from the first day of its operation to this day." He warned against interference in the judiciary and the courts, accusing unnamed parties of attempting to change the election results in order to "keep up with the largest bloc to disrupt a majority government that they are displeased with."
