In Egypt, 17 citizens from the city of Deirb Negm in the Sharqia Governorate, northeast of the capital, were injured due to a heavy truck accident while they were waiting to receive their portion of bread in front of a local bakery. The truck collided with them and subsequently caught fire. According to Al-Ahram Gate, the Sharqia Security Director received a report from the Deirb Negm police station indicating the injuries of 17 residents from the same city resulting from the truck accident.
Initial investigations revealed that the truck driver suffered a heart attack while driving past the bakery and several commercial shops in Deirb, causing the vehicle to continue uncontrollably until it crashed into the bakery and some shops, igniting a fire in the truck and injuring bystanders. The injured individuals were transported to the central hospital for treatment and to control the fire in the vehicle.
