The Media Office of the Government of Dubai announced on Monday that the emirate plans to transition to emission-free public transport by 2050. Dubai had announced the "Dubai Clean Energy Strategy" in 2015, aiming to produce 75 percent of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2050.
