"House of Horror": US Police Rescue Children Living with Their Murdered Brother's Corpse

Reports have revealed more shocking and painful details about what media refers to as the "House of Horror" in Harris County, Texas, according to the British newspaper "Independent." US police have charged a 31-year-old man with murdering his girlfriend's 8-year-old son, leaving the body to decompose in a closet for 11 months, while the three other children suffered from hunger, malnutrition, torture, and cruel treatment.

Law enforcement authorities arrested Brian Coulter and charged him with murder after discovering the skeletal remains of the child inside an apartment in Harris County. It was determined that Coulter killed the boy, son of his girlfriend Gloria Williams, after beating and kicking him to death on November 20 of last year. For 11 months, the boy's body remained in a closet to decompose while his siblings, aged 15, 10, and 7, endured extreme hunger and malnutrition in difficult conditions.

Charges have also been filed against the mother of the children, aged 35, for concealing her son's murder, starving her other children, and failing to protect another child from severe injury. The tragedy began to unfold when the eldest son, 15, contacted the Harris County Sheriff's Office on Sunday to report that his younger brother had died a year ago and that his remains were still lying in the room next to his. Upon arrival, investigators found the remains of a young boy and discovered three malnourished children, with the youngest suffering from a deep facial wound.

A bail bond for Coulter was set at one million dollars as of Wednesday morning. If released until trial, he would be under house arrest 24 hours a day, prohibited from leaving the county or trying to get close to the children or their mother.

Adding to the strangeness of this tragic story, Coulter had a history of boasting on his Instagram account about family love and his wife’s emotionally rich cooking. He even had a tattoo on his arm saying "Family Over Everything," abbreviated as "F.O.E." Despite the dire conditions his girlfriend's children faced, Coulter often showcased gourmet dishes throughout the past year.

In September of last year, two months before Kendrick’s murder, Coulter posted a picture of a table piled with various foods, commenting, "My wife prepared a four-course meal for me... It was delicious, and I couldn’t stop eating," ending it with the slogan "F.O.E." Just six days later, he shared another picture of a large frying pan filled with spaghetti and ground beef, stating it was "the best pasta dish I've ever had," and expressed thanks to God and love for his wife, reiterating "family before everything."

Four days later, on February 14, he posted a video on Instagram claiming he was having "the best steak ever," with his girlfriend in the background for a few moments yelling at a child who was not visible in the recording. Coulter shouted to that child, "Don’t sneak around like that, I see everything."
