Eid al-Fitr on Thursday in These Countries After Moon Sightings Failed

The sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon was not successful in several Arab countries on Tuesday evening, which means that Wednesday will complete the month of Ramadan, and Thursday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr. The Saudi Royal Court announced that the Supreme Court has decided that tomorrow, Wednesday, will complete the month of Ramadan and that Thursday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr for the year 1442 AH, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Earlier, the Tamir and Hota Sidr observatories in Saudi Arabia had announced the failure to sight the Shawwal crescent moon. The Emirates News Agency declared that Thursday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr in the UAE. The Kuwaiti official sighting authority stated that "tomorrow completes Ramadan and Thursday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr." Relevant authorities in Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, and Qatar also announced that Wednesday will complete the month of Ramadan, and Thursday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
