Leipzig Qualifies for the DFB-Pokal Semi-Final

The "Red Bull Arena" hosted the match between Leipzig and their guest, Wolfsburg, in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal.

Leipzig qualified for the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal for the current 2020-2021 season, after achieving a tough 2-0 victory over Wolfsburg. Danish player Yusuf Poulsen opened the scoring for Leipzig in the 63rd minute, and Hee-chan Hwang added the second goal in the 88th minute.

It's noteworthy that Holstein Kiel, a team competing in the second division, also advanced to the semi-finals in Germany after earlier today defeating their hosts, Rot-Weiss Erfurt, 3-0. It is worth mentioning that Holstein Kiel eliminated the giant Bayern Munich (the defending champion) in the Round of 32 of the tournament by winning on penalties.

Thus, both teams join Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals after the Black and Yellow defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach 1-0. The fourth team in the DFB-Pokal semi-finals will be determined between Jahn Regensburg and Werder Bremen, following the postponement of their match that was originally scheduled for yesterday.
