Roy Keane: Ronaldo Will Not Bring English League Titles

Former Manchester United star Roy Keane stated that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will bring a "winning mentality" to the Red Devils, but will not secure significant trophies with them, according to Spanish newspaper "AS". Ronaldo had returned to his former club from Juventus after signing a two-year contract with Manchester United, with an annual salary estimated at £20 million ($27.5 million). Keane, a former captain of Manchester United, confirmed that despite being 37 years old, Ronaldo is still a great player hungry for play and titles. He noted that Cristiano can instill a "winning mindset" in his teammates at Old Trafford but stressed that he will not be able to help them win the English League or the Champions League.

Ronaldo had previously achieved numerous accomplishments during his five seasons with the Red Devils from 2003 to 2008 before moving to Real Madrid. He won the Premier League title three times and helped Manchester United secure the Champions League, the English League Cup twice, as well as one FA Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup. On a personal level, he won the Ballon d'Or for Best Player in the World in 2008 during that period.
