Kuwaiti poet Sheikh Dihej Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah passed away this morning, Saturday, at the age of 50. The Kuwaiti Amir's Diwan mourned the late poet, whose body will be laid to rest after the afternoon prayer today, Saturday. The late poet was born in 1971 and is one of the grandchildren of the late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad. Dihej Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah holds a degree in political science and is a diplomat at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He wrote many songs, plays, and series, and held the honorary presidency of the Kuwaiti Popular Theater. He also authored several articles in various Arab newspapers and has previously been awarded the title of Best Gulf Poet in surveys.
