The newspaper stated that the former chancellor went to a supermarket in Berlin on Thursday, and her wallet was in the shopping cart. Suddenly, it disappeared from the cart without Merkel or her bodyguard noticing how it was stolen by an unknown person, according to Russia Today. Angela Merkel served as Chancellor of Germany for 16 years before leaving the position last December.
