Title: Iraq Recovers the

Iraqi authorities announced yesterday the return of the historic "Tablet of Gilgamesh's Dream," estimated to be 3,500 years old, to its homeland, Iraq. The announcement of the tablet's receipt was made during a joint press conference by Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities Hassan Nazim. During the conference, Nazim stated that the Gilgamesh tablet "holds great importance as it is one of the oldest literary texts that document Iraq." The Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities viewed the recovery of the tablet as "a message to those who smuggled their artifacts, manipulated them, and sold them at international auctions, that the ultimate outcome will be their recovery." For his part, the Iraqi Foreign Minister clarified that Iraq "managed to recover approximately 17,916 artifacts from several countries, including the USA, UK, Japan, the Netherlands, and Italy," over the course of one year. It is worth noting that this archaeological tablet is made of clay and inscribed in cuneiform, and is part of the "Tablet of Gilgamesh's Dream," considered one of humanity's oldest literary works, recounting the adventures of one of the powerful kings of Mesopotamia in his quest for immortality.
