Officially.. Barcelona Announces the Return of Dani Alves

The Spanish club Barcelona officially announced on Friday evening the signing of experienced Brazilian star Dani Alves, marking the return of the 38-year-old player to the Catalan team in a free transfer deal. Barcelona stated in a press release on its official website, "FC Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached a preliminary agreement for the player to join the first team for the remainder of the current season."

The statement added, "The Brazilian player will join training from next week, but he will not be able to play until January." Earlier, the Spanish newspaper "Sport" had indicated that Barcelona finalized the details of the deal with the Brazilian defender after coach Xavi Hernandez approved the transfer, informing the management that he wants him for his project.

Dani Alves had an unforgettable experience with Barcelona from 2008 to 2016, scoring 21 goals in 391 matches across all competitions, during which he won 23 different titles. The Brazilian star joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008 and spent eight seasons with the Catalan team before moving to Juventus in 2016. The Brazilian right-back won 23 titles with Barcelona as follows: "6 La Liga titles, 4 Copa del Rey titles, 4 Supercopa de España titles, 3 UEFA Champions League titles, 3 FIFA Club World Cup titles, and 3 UEFA Super Cup titles."
