Emy posted a photo of herself with her late mother and her sister, Donia Samir Ghanem, on her personal Instagram account, writing: "I miss you so much, I can't grasp the loss of you and dad, and unfortunately, I have a picture of you both in pain right in front of my eyes, and it makes me cry every day. I try to distract myself with other things, but then I sit with myself, and the painful images remain in front of my eyes."
She added, addressing her followers: "I'm sorry for sharing this sadness with you, but I am in another world. Hopefully, God will allow me to go perform Umrah because I will surely feel better, God willing. May God have mercy on them as they raised me when I was young."

Actress Dalal Abdel Aziz passed away on August 7 after suffering for more than three months due to a coronavirus infection, and she was unaware of her husband's passing, as they kept the news from her for fear of her health deteriorating. She eventually passed away and was buried next to her late husband, actor Samir Ghanem, who died earlier on May 20 after suffering a severe health crisis due to COVID-19.
