The Iraqi News Agency reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 was recorded in the city of Basra in southern Iraq on Sunday. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage in the earthquake area. Earlier on Sunday, Iranian state television mentioned that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck Fars Province in southern Iran.
