President Michel Aoun received the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, at the Baabda Palace.
The National News Agency reported that President Aoun met with Dorothy Shea to discuss recent developments and the future of Lebanese-American relations following President Joe Biden's assumption of office. Both Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron had previously expressed, in a phone call, their "desire to work together for peace," including on the "Iranian nuclear issue and the situation in Lebanon."
