The United Arab Emirates has laid to rest its president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who passed away at the age of 73, as announced by the Emirates News Agency. A period of mourning has been declared for forty days.
In the evening, Abu Dhabi's ruler, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, along with a group of sheikhs, performed the funeral prayer for Sheikh Khalifa, and the deceased was buried in Al Bateen Cemetery in Abu Dhabi.
