The Italian public finance police raided the offices of Juventus football club in the cities of Turin and Milan, searching for documents related to player transfer deals between 2019 and 2021. Turin prosecutor Anna Maria Loreto stated in a late Friday press release that the investigations aim to find evidence of allegations that senior Juventus officials provided false information to investors and issued invoices related to fictitious transactions that did not occur. Loreto added, "The investigations involve several player transfer deals and the services provided by some agents in this context," as reported by Reuters. Last month, the Italian public prosecutor announced that it had launched an investigation into several player transfer deals in Serie A. Juventus stated in September that the market oversight authority in the country is examining the revenues obtained from player transfer deals. Juventus is the most successful club in Italy, having won the domestic league title 36 times, and its shares are traded on the Milan Stock Exchange, with Exor holding the majority stake in those shares.
