The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, cast his vote in the Beirut II district and addressed media representatives: "You are soldiers for covering this electoral day, which I consider historic and pivotal in Lebanese political life. I am a citizen casting my vote in the ballot box."
