The Beirut Municipality issued a statement regarding the accident involving a diesel tanker overturning on Rouche Road, which resulted in damages.
The National News Agency reported that the Public Relations Department of the Beirut Municipality distributed a statement this evening, stating that at approximately 3:15 PM today, the Beirut Fire Brigade's operations room received information about the overturning of a tanker loaded with diesel on the main road to Rouche towards the Ain El-Tineh area. This incident led to damage to two parked vehicles at the location and injured the truck driver. The statement added that firefighting, ambulance, and rescue units immediately proceeded from the first sector to the site. Upon arrival, a significant amount of diesel was leaking from the tanker, reaching the main road in front of "Beit Ward."
The statement explained that the firefighting units took all necessary public safety measures to prevent any risk that could arise from the diesel spill in the area. Additionally, the rescue team worked on spreading large amounts of sand using a bobcat vehicle along the road where the accident occurred, extending to the main road, to absorb the leaked material and prevent any slipping incidents and to mitigate any risks that could result from it.
