Highest Daily COVID-19 Cases Recorded in Saudi Arabia in Nearly 5 Months

Daily COVID-19 infection rates in Saudi Arabia continue to rise, with the Saudi Ministry of Health announcing today, Saturday, that 846 new cases of the virus have been recorded, a figure not seen in nearly 5 months. The number of critical cases in intensive care units has also increased, reaching 61 cases. In terms of vaccination against COVID-19, the total number of doses administered has exceeded 50 million and 871 thousand doses.

The Ministry of Health tweeted: "We have recorded (846) new cases of COVID-19, (1) death, may he rest in peace, and (262) recovery cases, bringing the total number of recovered cases to (542,115), thank God."

In another tweet, it added: "With the beginning of the new year, the daily COVID-19 case report will be published at 12 PM. We trust in your awareness of the importance of adhering to precautionary measures and promptly receiving the necessary vaccines."
