Sources informed "Al-Jumhuriya" that the ministers of the Amal movement and Hezbollah will raise Lebanon's position on the Russian-Ukrainian war again, especially after Lebanon's shift from merely issuing a statement by the Foreign Ministry to voting in the UN General Assembly against Russia. Lebanon could have abstained from this vote, similar to 35 countries that balanced international legitimacy with their relations and interests. Political circles revealed to "Al-Jumhuriya" that Lebanon's vote in the UN General Assembly in favor of a resolution condemning Russia reflects an official decision to satisfy Washington in exchange for expected American facilitation in maritime border demarcation and assistance from the International Monetary Fund.
