A teenager from Connecticut, USA, discovered previously unseen photographs of the September 11 terrorist attacks in an old family album. Nineteen-year-old Liam Enya stated that he was browsing through an old album titled "Valentine's Day," which belonged to his aunt Marian Poglisi Munyoz. He expressed his surprise upon finding images of the deadliest attack in U.S. history. Subsequently, the teenager decided to post the photos for the first time on his personal TikTok account this past Sunday.
The collection of photographs depicts the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan, engulfed in flames, with columns of smoke rising. Enya mentioned that he identified the location from where his aunt took the pictures, adding, "From the images, I realized she was living in an apartment on Greenwich Street in New York, where she had a balcony facing the World Trade Center." He continued, "When I showed the pictures to my mom, she recognized the building as well, which she had visited in the 1990s."
The September 11, 2001 attacks resulted in the deaths of nearly 3,000 people when three hijacked planes struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, while a fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.
