On Wednesday, military maneuvers titled "Guardians of the Nile" commenced between the Sudanese and Egyptian armies in various locations across Sudan, as reported by Sky News Arabia. These maneuvers will continue until May 31. According to Sky News Arabia, the exercises are taking place at sites such as the "Wadi Sidna" base, located north of the Omdurman area in Khartoum. Omdurman is one of three cities that make up the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. The Egyptian military spokesperson announced on Saturday that members of the Egyptian army had arrived in Sudan to participate in the "Guardians of the Nile" maneuvers. Both sides are contributing their ground, naval, and aerial forces to these exercises. The military training aims to confirm the state of readiness and preparedness of the joint forces while enhancing the training capabilities of the armed forces of both countries. This training is a continuation of previous exercises such as "Nile Eagles 1" and "Nile Eagles 2." According to military media, these maneuvers aim to exchange military expertise, strengthen cooperation, and unify operational methods to address anticipated threats to both nations.
