UAE Condemns Houthi Attempts to Target Saudi Arabia with Ballistic Missiles and Drones

The United Arab Emirates expressed its strong condemnation of the attempts by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects today in Khamis Mushait and Jazan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, using a ballistic missile and explosive drones, which were intercepted by coalition forces.

The UAE, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, affirmed that the ongoing terrorist attacks by the Houthi group reflect their blatant challenge to the international community and their disregard for all international laws and norms.

The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated acts that target vital and civilian facilities, the security of the Kingdom, energy supplies, and global economic stability. It affirmed that the recent escalation of these attacks is a serious aggravation and further evidence of the militia's efforts to undermine security and stability in the region.

The ministry reiterated the UAE's full solidarity with the Kingdom against these terrorist attacks and its commitment to standing together against any threat to its security and stability, supporting it in all measures taken to ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.

The statement emphasized that the security of the United Arab Emirates and the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are inseparable, and any threat faced by the Kingdom is considered a threat to the overall security and stability of the UAE.
