The Casino de Saint-Amand-les-Eaux posted on its Facebook page that "the jackpot of €2,626,909.12 was won last night," describing it as "crazy." The jackpot winner is a "seasonal player" residing in northern France, having wagered €2, the group clarified in a statement. This prize is linked to "150 connected slot machines in 38 casinos that synchronize their prize values." Over ten years, this system has seen "66 winners, including 31 millionaires and more than €74 million in winnings," according to Euronews. Earlier this year, a forty-something woman won over €200,000 at a casino in Saint-Malo, western France, after betting €0.80 on a slot machine.
