The spokesman for the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, stated late Wednesday into Thursday that the coalition executed precise strikes on legitimate military targets in Sana'a and Saada. Al-Maliki added that the targets included sites for ballistic missiles, drones, and weapon caches. He further mentioned that the strikes achieved their objectives in neutralizing cross-border attacks and attempts to target civilians, emphasizing that the militia's cross-border assaults are futile and that the coalition continues to exercise restraint.
Additionally, local residents informed Al-Arabiya.net that coalition aircraft conducted airstrikes on camps and maintenance warehouses in Al-Nahdin, Al-Hafa, and Atan, confirming that violent explosions rocked the capital following the strikes, likely from arms and missile depots. The coalition's aircraft also targeted the Al-Sawad camp in the Al-Haziz area and the Rima Hamid camp in Sanhan, in Sana'a. The extent of the damage from these explosions is currently unknown, while Houthi media only reported the locations targeted without further details.
Moreover, the Yemeni news site "Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni" reported that coalition aircraft also targeted a meeting of senior leaders in the Houthi rebel militia in the Yemeni capital Sana'a. Local sources conveyed that coalition aircraft aimed for a meeting that included high-ranking leaders of the Houthi militias at the Presidential Palace south of Sana'a. The sources confirmed the death and injury of prominent leaders in the insurgent militias.
