Robbery at Betting Café in Lebanon: Impersonators Steal 2 Billion LBP

A café in the town of Ansar, southern Lebanon, was robbed of approximately 2 billion Lebanese pounds by unidentified individuals impersonating a member of a security agency. According to details, around 1 AM on Monday to Tuesday, six masked individuals in two cars with dark windows stormed the café owned by M.J. on the main street in Ansar. Armed with pistols, they claimed to be from an official security agency, threatened the café patrons, who were there for betting and financial transactions, and stole about 2 billion Lebanese pounds, as well as the keys to the customers' cars and their phones, before fleeing the scene. The café owner reported the incident to the Duayr police station concerning the unidentified assailants. Relevant security authorities have initiated investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
