Social media users shared a video featuring Egyptian Mohamed Salah, star of Liverpool FC, in which he narrates his struggles as a player in Egypt before turning professional in Europe and entering a world of millions and fame. In the video, Salah recounts that at the start of his sports career, he would eat a plate of koshari every day for one Egyptian pound, which was all that remained from the 20 pounds his father would give him for travel and expenses. He mentioned that he spent 19 pounds on transportation. Salah also noted that he would put large amounts of hot sauce on his dish, which led him to prefer spicy food in general later on. It is worth mentioning that Mohamed Salah moved to Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017 for a fee of 45 million euros, and he is currently valued at over 100 million euros in the transfer market.
