Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman about the state of the global oil market. The Kremlin stated: "A telephone conversation took place between President Vladimir Putin and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, during which both sides praised the level of friendly relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia, and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, focusing on expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic relations, as well as the current situation in the global oil market."
The Kremlin added: "Views were exchanged on the situation in Syria, taking into account the outcomes of the July 19 summit in Tehran for the guarantor states of the Astana process, and it was agreed to continue communications at various levels." The Kremlin also noted: "President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud emphasized the importance of further coordination within OPEC+, and noted that member countries continue to fulfill their commitments to maintain balance in the global oil market."
