The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that the preliminary toll from a traffic collision that occurred on Saturday morning between a large bus and a small transport vehicle on the "Suez - Taba" road reached 18 injuries and 16 fatalities. The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, stated that the ambulance service dispatched 13 ambulances, and all injured individuals were transported to Al-Zahraa Medical Center in Taba, Abordis Central Hospital, and Sharm El Sheikh International Hospital, while the bodies of the victims were taken to Taba General Hospital. Abdel Ghaffar noted that the injuries ranged from fractures, abrasions, and lacerations to suspected concussions. He confirmed the elevation of the medical emergency status at hospitals in Suez and South Sinai, calling all medical teams working in emergency departments at all hospitals in the vicinity of the accident, and ensuring the availability of medications and medical supplies, as well as blood and plasma bags, to provide complete healthcare for the injured.
