Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi officially announced on Monday Egypt's desire to host the United Nations Climate Summit scheduled for 2022. Sisi stated that Egypt is offering to host the climate change conference on behalf of the African continent, adding that it will work to make this conference "a radical turning point in international climate action in partnership with all parties, for the benefit of the African continent and the whole world." The UK is hosting this year's conference in Glasgow in November.
