President Fouad Sanioura announced in a press conference his withdrawal from running in the parliamentary elections. He said, "My withdrawal is not from the standpoint of boycotting, but rather to make room for new energies. I will be fully concerned with the election process and declare myself engaged in the elections to their fullest extent without running."
