Salameh: What is being circulated about the Central Bank's bankruptcy is incorrect

The following statement was issued by the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon: Governor Riad Salameh wants to clarify that what is being circulated regarding the bankruptcy of the central bank is incorrect. Despite the losses sustained by the financial sector in Lebanon, which are being addressed in the recovery plan currently being prepared by the Lebanese government in collaboration with the International Monetary Fund, the Central Bank of Lebanon continues to carry out its duties as stipulated in Article 70 of the Monetary and Credit Law and will continue to do so.
