Saudi Authorities Allow Children of Undocumented Residents to Enroll in Schools

The Saudi Ministry of Education announced the facilitation of access to education for children of individuals residing in the Kingdom unlawfully for the new academic year. The ministry stated that schools should provide guardians of undocumented students with admission forms and guide them to refer to the relevant regional authorities to complete the necessary procedures. The completed form, once approved by the authority, must be submitted to the school for the student's enrollment.

The ministry has requested educational administrations to provide the General Administration for Evaluation and Admission with monthly statistics on the number of students accepted in each educational region. It is noteworthy that the rules and conditions included in the enrollment form for those without legal documents in public education pertain to the student's and their parents' data based on (passport, residency, certificate, visit visa, etc.), along with a permanent address and contact information. Additionally, there is a commitment from the guardian of the child without legal documents to obtain the necessary identification documents to rectify their status during the academic year.
