Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, a player for Manchester United, was robbed of €288,000 from his bank accounts. An employee at a travel agency that Ronaldo deals with exploited her access to his bank card data during a fraudulent scheme that lasted three years, according to the Portuguese newspaper "Jornal de Notícias." The 53-year-old employee managed to achieve her criminal objective by purchasing 200 trips in his name, despite him not taking any of them. It is worth noting that the employee was sentenced in 2017 to four years in prison for stealing from Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, as well as players Nani and Manuel Fernandes. The head of the travel agency is seeking to compensate Ronaldo and the affected individuals through a series of monthly payments.
