Police Intervene Before Wedding Night

A bride was subjected to a strange and sudden attack during her wedding celebration, as her groom struck her on the head with a blow of his arm, despite everyone being in a joyful mood at that moment. The groom delivered a strong blow to his bride’s head after she defeated him in what seems to be a traditional game at such occasions. A video capturing the scene of the blow at the wedding sparked outrage among thousands of citizens in Uzbekistan, where the incident took place. Despite the bride's discontent with this violent act and her leaving the celebration after the sudden blow, evidence suggests that the victim will continue to live with her new husband. It was reported that police intervened and had preventive talks with the couple and their parents, while authorities filed a complaint against the head of the new family under a provision relating to minor acts of disorder.
