The Venezuelan government announced the first case of monkeypox in a man who entered the country through its main airport near Caracas after arriving from Madrid. Health Minister Magaly Gutiérrez stated on Twitter that contacts of the infected individual are being traced. The ministry indicated that the patient has been isolated immediately, and tests and samples were taken, which returned positive results.
