The Hospital Situation is Bad... and Dangerous for Patients!

The head of the Private Hospitals Association, Suleiman Haroun, warned that the hospital situation is very serious, stating, "We have reached worse than what we warned about." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," he pointed out the issue with missing heart disease medications as well as cancer drugs, which poses a direct danger to patients. Haroun highlighted the risk threatening dialysis patients, as hospitals with dialysis centers are at risk of closure, mentioning a trend towards lifting subsidies on dialysis medications, which will cause a major financial crisis for patients.
