The Emirate of Dubai is witnessing the construction of the largest hospital in the Middle East dedicated to heart and lung diseases, utilizing robotic technologies to provide treatment for patients.
Today, the Dubai Health Authority signed a partnership agreement with Prime Healthcare Group to establish the hospital, which will have a capacity of 100 beds at a cost of up to 495 million dirhams.
The signing took place at the Arab Health Exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Jamal Abdul Salam, the CEO of the Dubai Health Authority, stated that "the new hospital will be completed within three years and represents a significant addition to the healthcare services provided to patients in the Gulf countries and the Middle East region." He added to reporters that "the new project will support medical tourism in Dubai due to the specialized healthcare services it will offer."
Dr. Jamil Ahmed, Chairman of Prime Healthcare Group, mentioned: "The hospital will include three centers of excellence for cardiology, pulmonology, and oncology, enhancing Dubai's status as a destination for medical excellence."
He continued, "The hospital will employ the latest medical technologies in diagnostics and treatment, including the use of robotic surgeries and hybrid operating rooms, and it will be equipped with medical technologies that utilize artificial intelligence."
The hospital will provide treatments for various types of cancer, including breast, colon, stomach, and brain tumors, and will feature a robotic radiation surgery unit.
