Lavrov in Uzbekistan for Shanghai Cooperation Meeting

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Uzbekistan on Wednesday evening to attend a Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting and hold several bilateral meetings. It is scheduled for Lavrov to have talks on Thursday with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, followed by meetings with the foreign ministers of China and Pakistan. On Friday, Lavrov will participate in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Lavrov arrived in Tashkent coming from Ethiopia, the last stop in his African tour, which began in Egypt on July 23 and also included Congo and Uganda.
