Death of Former Egyptian Al Ahly Star Due to Poisoning

The Ivorian striker Osu Konan, a former player for Egyptian Al Ahly, passed away at the age of 32 in his hometown in Ivory Coast. According to Nguyen Minh Chau, Konan's agent, the late striker was killed by his cousin. Chau stated that Konan's cousin poisoned him with a substance in a glass of wine during a visit to his village during the mid-season break. Osu Konan played for Misr El-Makasa from 2010 to 2012, then moved to Al Ahly. He was loaned to Al-Hazem in Saudi Arabia before permanently transferring to Gaziantep in Turkey in 2013. Konan returned to the Egyptian league with Tala'ea El Gaish in 2014, remaining with them until 2016. His last stop in his career was with Al-Buqayria Club, a competitor in the Saudi third division league.
