The Egyptian Public Prosecution in North Giza has decided to imprison the owner of a factory in Kerdasa following the drowning of 5 workers in an oil refining boiler in the industrial area of Abu Rawash. According to the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Ahram," the prosecution listened to the statements of the factory workers, who confirmed that one of them fell into the oil refining boiler while it was under maintenance with the help of his colleagues.
The investigations revealed that the other workers attempted to rescue him, but they also fell into the 5-meter-high boiler, and they all lost their lives. The Egyptian newspaper reported that the prosecution has requested a comprehensive medical report on the causes of the workers' deaths.
