Bruno Fernandes, a Manchester United player, has joined the ranks of the "super" stars who have shone with the "Red Devils" throughout its history, after being chosen as the club's Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. He now follows in the footsteps of illustrious United stars, including his fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo and Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy. Bruno has become the fifth player in the club's history to win this award two years in a row, joining the ranks of Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, David de Gea, and Roy Keane.
In the poll conducted by the club with the participation of its fans, Fernandes received 63% of the votes, while Luke Shaw finished second with 21%, and Uruguayan Edinson Cavani came in third with 6%. Bruno Fernandes won the "Player of the Year" title last year, ahead of Frenchman Anthony Martial, who was in second place, even though the Portuguese star had only been with United for a few months.
Notably, the only two stars to have won this title in their first two seasons with Manchester United are Ruud van Nistelrooy and Bruno Fernandes.
On another note, Bruno also received another award for "Goal of the Season" for his goal scored against Everton last February. So far this season, Bruno has scored 28 goals in various competitions and provided 18 assists, achieving an exceptional individual season. In the Premier League, he has played 36 matches, scoring 18 goals and assisting 11 goals.
