New Wave of Coronavirus: Situation Under Control!

The Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Abiad, revealed a new wave of coronavirus being experienced in Lebanon as well as worldwide, noting an increase in hospital cases, while emphasizing that the situation remains under control. In a statement to "Voice of Lebanon," he advised citizens to receive the vaccine, particularly the fourth dose, and also stressed the importance of precautionary measures and personal protective measures. He announced that "there is currently no intention to re-close the country given the economic situation in Lebanon." He also indicated that "there are 4 cases of monkeypox out of 20 suspected cases, and we are handling the situation in terms of tracking cases and conducting tests, and a isolation unit has been established at Rafik Hariri Hospital, but there are no cases requiring hospitalization."
