Shooting Outside Their Hotel: 3 Dutch Commandos Injured in the United States

The Dutch Ministry of Defense announced that three of its commandos participating in training in the United States were injured in a shooting outside their hotel in Indianapolis. The Washington Post reported that the shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. Eastern Time in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis police stated that officers found three men with gunshot wounds who were taken to local hospitals. The Dutch Ministry of Defense indicated that "one of the soldiers is in critical condition," while the Indianapolis police reported that "two soldiers are in critical condition and the third is stable." The ministry noted that "the three soldiers are commandos and were in the state for training when the shooting occurred during their free time outside the hotel where they were staying." The police explained that "the shooting resulted from a dispute between the three victims and one or more other individuals."
